Fredette among players that withdraw from NBA Draft
Among the players that withdrew their name from the NBA Draft in time to return to college this season include BYU’s Jimmer Fredette, Penn State’s Talor Battle, Illinois’ Demetri McCamey and Mike Davis, Purdue’s E’Twaun Moore and JaJuan Johnson, and Florida’s Alex Tyus.
All of the teams listed above, outside of the Nittany Lions, are expected to be top 25 teams with their top players back. Among the undecided players leaving are two of the nation’s best mid major players: Butler’s Gordon Hayward and UAB’s Elijah Millsap. Hayward led the Bulldogs to the national title game while Millsap nearly took the Blazers to the NCAA Tournament.
Kentucky lost John Wall, Patrick Patterson, Eric Bledsoe, Daniel Orton, and DeMarcus Cousins. The Wildcats were the hardest hit team by the draft.
